Biography: Senator Richard
Stevens was first elected to the North Carolina General
Assembly in 2002. He represents Wake County and serves as
Vice Chairman of the Education and Higher Education
Committee. He is a member of the Appropriations on Education
and Higher Education, Appropriations on Base Budget,
Commerce, Finance, Information Technology, Judiciary I,
Select Committee of the NC State Employees' Disability Plan,
State and Local Government, & Transportation Committees.
